The Eden Project

Case Studies

A first class service for The Eden Project.

The Company:

Eden is an educational charity. Described as the living theatre of plants and people, it is all about man’s relationship with and dependence upon plants. They offer a year round programme of events with live music, theatre, trails, conversations, talks and workshops.

The Need:

The Eden Project needed to extend their Pegasus Opera Finance package, and to enable them to print bar code labels and maintain accurate stock data, thus enabling them to re-stock quickly and efficiently, which is key as they are in a retail environment.

  • They were looking for a seamless way for end users to print barcode labels directly from the stock screen.
  • They were also looking for a way to improve their stocktaking capabilities.
  • The system needed to be able to produce bar code labels to be used on their tills.

The Solution:

  • The Bridge was provided, which enabled them to fulfil their requirements and more.
  • The integration provided a seamless way for end users to print directly from the stock screen in Opera to their dedicated ‘Zebra’ thermal transfer printers.
  • Symbol MC70 handheld Scanners were supplied, which gives the ability to collect the data remotely and thus improving their stocktaking capabilities.
“At the Eden Project we have used the MJM ‘Bridge’ software for several years. Over the years we have enjoyed a good working relationship with MJM and support has always been first class.”
