The Company:
Allprint is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of materials to the sign, exhibition and display market. Established in 1984 and operating from 26,000 ft² of modern premises in Slough, they
provide a portfolio of thousands of products for next-day delivery. They have slitting machines in-house and their own applications centre with printers and cutters.
The Need:
Allprint needed all of their products to have barcodes to improve time and accuracy restraints for progressing orders and ensuring that all products are booked in and out correctly.
Ability to trace and track specific items. Procedures needed to be changed to decrease the manual workload. Pickers and packers wanted to know what to pick and pack without needing paper-based orders.
The Solution:
The Bridge was introduced with the MJM Traceability and Live Link modules. Having Traceability gives Allprint access to the MJM traceable table, which lets the operators track all of the traceable products to see exactly when each product was booked in and out of the warehouse. Paper and manual work has been reduced since the Live Link module was implemented,
as it automatically allows pickers and packers to see which orders on the scanner to pick and pack in real time, once these orders have been picked and packed the orders get
automatically progressed to delivery, paperwork produced and ready to invoice.
