For over 25 years MJM has developed data capture solutions that have been interfaced to many different systems throughout the UK. We have worked within Healthcare, Education and Commerce, providing systems from Van Sales and Stock Control through to Work in Progress and Time and Activity Recording. Nearly all of these data capture systems have relied upon the use of barcodes as the fastest and most accurate form of data capture available.
In the past many of these systems have used 'batch transfer' as the best method of transferring the captured data to the PC but as radio based communication becomes more cost-effective and efficient we are able to provide real-time radio based data collection systems.
With the introduction of high density codes such as maxicode, and 2D barcodes such as PDF417, the humble barcode has gained a new lease of life and we have developed applications where the storage capacity of these types of barcodes, along with the cheapness of production, have provided ideal solutions to data collection problems.
